PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS


The 4th Latin American Conference on Lung Cancer will be an exciting time for lung cancer professionals from Latin America and around the world to share the most up-to-date information regarding the science and advances in the treatment of lung cancer. International and national speakers will participate in the Scientific Program and their presentations will provide a platform to discuss the latest developments in basic science and clinical treatment.

The Conference will cover a pre-conference day, a two-day meeting and a half day anti-tobacco forum. Th e Scientifi c Program will feature basic and translational research, molecular diagnosis and prognostic factors, early diagnosis, targeted and individualized therapies, surgical and clinical management of lung cancer including radiotherapy and supportive care.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
  • Review the new advances in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation in lung cancer
  • Provide opportunities for the exchange of information between physicians from research centers in the lung cancer field
  • Share and discuss recent advances in prevention, imaging, early detection and
    treatment of lung cancer
  • Review advances in the molecular biology and pharmacogenomics of lung cancer and how they apply to personalizing medicine
  • Discuss tobacco control methods being utilized throughout the world Evaluate results from recent clinical trials related to lung cancer and mesothelioma
  • Review palliative care options for patients with lung cancer
  • Support the career development of fellows and junior faculty with an interest in lung cancer
  • Give the opportunity to Clinicians and other professionals not directly involved in lung cancer research to receive complete updated information on brand new achievements in the lung cancer area

The official language of the Conference is English. Spanish Translation will be provided for the Plenary Sessions.
